On Saturday, December 15  from 10am – 12 noon The Museum of Cultural Arts Houston (MOCAH) will work alongside local community music partners to wrap toy guitars and accordions to help provide the ‘Gift of Music’ to  benefit children in need.  MOCAH is recipient to a generous in-kind donation of recycled musical instruments courtesy of the Austin Bazaar.  Otherwise slated for trash, MOCAH uses these in-kind product donations and turns them into treasures by creating unique works of art by professional artists and novice alike.  In addition,  MOCAH donates the repairable instruments as in-kind resource for community music programs.  Throughout the year, we have partnered with  14 community based programs that have in turn managed to gift over 500 instruments to schools, hospitals and community based organizations throughout Houston. This opportunity is a tremendous benefit to the communities that we work within. This opportunity is a tremendous benefit to the communities that we work within and we look forward to having your involvement.
