The MOCAH experience offers the often overlooked and under represented classes of our youth a chance to acknowledge themselves through art.
The MOCAH experience provides artists and non-artists alike with the opportunity to discover their own artistic sensibilities through hands-on art experiences that encourage and nurture the creative process.

Participants work alongside professional artists to create our public art projects and programs.
Students and community members involved in the MOCAH experience play a vital role in the reclamation and preservation of their own community.

The infusion of art, history and culture stimulates community pride, stewardship and neighborhood revitalization.
The MOCAH experience places the public in public art by engaging the community in the creation of our art projects. These projects help transform our neighborhoods into cultural and artistic destinations.

The impact that these projects have on the community are long lasting and reach broad and diverse audiences.

On Saturday, September 17th from 5:00 p.m .to 9:00 p.m. our Queens of Creativity (QOC) will be joining Natural Resources Salon, along with a host of “green” sponsors for Green and Glamorous, a beauty event and block party. The purpose of the event is to engage the community and to raise awareness about the various ways to protect the environment.

The QOC will host an up cycling station where guests can bring old jewelry, T-shirts, purses, wallets and more to get up cycled (decorated, and remixed)! The station will incorporate slightly damaged jewelry from MOCAH’s retail partner Charming Charlie.

fashion show featuring recycled fashion, beauty makeovers by Origins makeup
artists and hair styles by the Natural Resources team.
