MOCAH facilitated up to 50 high school students from Lone Star College’s, Upward Bound program.   The students created their vision to connect and reflect his or her college career goals within the Vision Plates workshop.  Vanessa Gonzales, North Harris-Program Director expressed “The dynamic experience the MOCAH staff created for my Upward Bound students was phenomenal.  The Vision Plates activity evoked career and goal-related aspects of each individual student, making tangible what is sometimes hard to put into focus.”     

The students worked passionately, creating plates that expressed their diversity and individuality. The colorful plates serve as mementos and visual reminders of the students’ goals as they prepare for life after high school.
